Study of Guillain-Barre Syndrome


Abstract
It is well known that Guillain-Barre, syndrome is most terriable disease with acute generalized paralyse in the decline of poliomyelitis.
The author studied about 39 cases which has been admitted and examined in Neurology Department, National Medical Center and results were as follows:
1) Prevalent age was not seen in Guillain-Barre syndrome and distributed in each age group equally.
2) Primary disorder of Guillain-Barre syndrome was occupied in quadriplegia (28%), paraplegia (15%), and weakness (13%).
3) Visiting in clinic was within 5 day generally, and sporadic in over 6 days to 1 month.
4) Protein level in C.S.F. of Guillain-Barre syndrome was rather higher than normal range except 3 cases.
